Abstract:
In addition to the full, raw data we propose to write much smaller (400x) data set that reduces the total 2.5 PB of protoDUNE/SP data down to less than 10 TB. The reduction process can run as soon as raw data is produced. The resulting data set enables many efficiencies such as trivializing the volume of input data sent to passes of the full reconstruction chain. Using data with realistic noise estimates for reduction factors and CPU requirements are derived under various available options.
